Just an FYI...

We went to the farmer's market this weekend and mama also gave me some couves from the garden. I have been doing "green smoothies" every morning and it feels great! Might be psychological for now, but that is okay. Some days I have it alone in a huge glass, other days I have a glass with a piece of wheat toast or an egg.
I haven't been great about my diet so this is just a first step in the right direction and I am feeling good about the diet and exercise at this point :)
Woo-hoo...we can do it!!

Lilly Workouts 14 and 15

Monday: 45 minutes on treadmill
Best part: feeling like I was finally back on track working out almost everyday this weekend!

Tuesday: 35 minutes on treadmill
Best part: doing it right after dinner and getting it done early (I usually wait until about 8:30 to make sure Ewan is alseep).
Ewan was a bit confused and kept running in saying "mama,mama!" :)

Best part: "making up" the workout I missed the night before...I think if it wasn't for this challenge workouts would be missed and not made up and then I'd slip back into not working out at all.

Best part: Having a great workout with mostly running even though I was tired right before.

Best part was that I did something at least. Lucas wasn't in the mood for me to do anything but pay attention him.

Workout: 35 minute treadmill run

Best part: I got up early in the morning to do this. It was nice to get it out of the way in the morning and I was proud that I did it after running the night before!

Ang Workout 10

Cardio/Strength DVD

Best part: Did the next level up and it didn't feel that hard.

But I think the abs section of the DVD is hurting my back. May need to find a new routine.

I have been sick all week and then we had a conference at work so it has been extremely busy. I know, there are always excuses, but I feel much better and plan to make up a lot this week (like you did last week).

Best part was that I just hopped on and did it. And taking the time after to stretch felt good.

Best part was Lucas seeing me start the DVD and saying "I need to work out too!" I even made him little "weights" made of construction paper and blocks. Having him see that exercise is part of what we do feels great.

Lilly Workout 4

40 minute treadmill run

Best part: I ran most of it (about 2 miles of the 2.5 miles I went) and, for the first time all week, felt great the whole time. Starting to hit the workout stride I think!

Weight at workout (I will weigh on Sundays): 173.2 (-4.8)

Ang Workout 4

30 minute cardio/strength DVD

Best part was just doing it even though I'm still feeling under the weather. Now that I've finished I feel better than I've felt all day. Plus Lucas "worked out" with me. His attempts at jumping jacks were very amusing.

Best part was that I got out and walked even though I wasn't feeling well.

Almost an hour: morning walk around the water.

Best Part: It was great to get out with Ewan and the jogger early in the morning to walk...next time I hope to run it.

Lilly Workout 1 and 2

I ran on the treadmill both Sunday and tonight.

Sunday: it was great that I could run so easily after MANY months off! Ran about 2 miles plus walking (35 minutes).

Tuesday: Planned to only walk since motivation was low, but did run for about a mile when I got into it! Went about 2.5 miles all together (45 minutes)

Starting weight (Sunday): 178 (ouch!)

Best part of workout: How easy it was to start -just pulled out the bike and started pedaling
Weight at start: 137 lbs

*workout interrupted by grumpy sick Adele, but I got back on & finished up the workout!

The Challenge: 48 workouts in 12 weeks

In the next 12 weeks, starting Sunday May 1st, we will work out at least 4 times a week, or 48 times. A workout is any aerobic activity for at least 30 minutes, or a weight or streching/yoga workout of at least 45 minutes.
Post here about each workout. Keep it positive - post about what you did, not what you didn’t do.
Example Format:
Workout 15: Ran 3 miles on the treadmill. 
Best part of workout: Ran at a faster pace and still felt great.
Weight Loss Since Start: 3 lbs.
At the end of the 12 weeks, we’ll pick the next challenge. Maybe 60 workouts in 12 weeks, or 5 times a week.
